Before your stay

Rental

Make sure you reread the booking terms for your rental. Services included may vary depending on the accommodation.

Journey

Think about checking the conditions of the road on map apps and GPS, which will keep you updated real-time with traffic conditions, disturbances and road works.

Clothing and equipment!

Les Gets is located at almost 1200m above sea level. You will therefore likely find there is snow upon arrival, with slippery conditions and temperatures often below zero. If you come by car it is essential that you have the necessary equipment for your vehicle – snow chains and winter tyres.

Bear in mind the difference in winter temperature! If you live in Paris, Lyon, Brussels or Zurich there can be up to 15 degrees Celsius difference between getting in the car at home and getting out again when you arrive in Les Gets. We strongly advise you bring clothes appropriate for cold, snowy conditions 😊

Arrival

We recommend you contact our agency as soon as you sign your contract so that our advisors can take care of your needs in terms of ski lessons, ski passes, ski equipment, airport transfers etc… All this to save you precious time when you arrive.

If you arrive before key handover at 5 pm we advise you call in to the agency to let us know. Our advisers will show you where you can park so that you can have a stroll around the resort whilst waiting to check in.

Departure

For the inventory check and before you leave, make sure you haven’t forgotten anything, even in the fridge. It would be a pity to forget your souvenirs, presents and local produce purchases! Our teams would also be grateful if you would take your bin bags to the public bins available.

Luggage drop service: After check-out, if you need to leave your belongings in a secure place to continue to enjoy the resort, we have a luggage drop service, depending on availability. Don’t forget to let us know well in advance so that we can reserve you a space.

Skiing and activities in resort

Ski lessons

For high season periods and especially during school holidays we recommend you book your ski lessons at least 3-4 months before arrival.

Ski passes

We can book your ski passes for you free of charge to add to your convenience. As well as making life easier you will also get a discount of 10% on the price you’d pay at the ticket office.

Restaurants

In high season and especially during school holidays we suggest you reserve restaurant lunches and evening meals several weeks ahead.

Don’t hesitate to ask if you’d like recommendations! Whether you are coming with friends, family, or as a couple it’s our pleasure to recommend the best restaurants in the resort to suit your fancy!

Resort activities

Snowmobiles, skijoring, paragliding and other leisure activities available in Les Gets and nearby are in high demand during peak season. We’d advise avoiding trying to organise anything last minute and planning as much as possible by booking your activities.

The same goes for events hosted by the Town Hall which are a great success every year. Make sure to check availability and book your tickets online.
