Vivez un été inoubliable à la montagne — événements, activités et incontournables pour préparer votre séjour aux Gets.

The Not-to-Miss Events of Summer

Feel the excitement of summer’s biggest gatherings in Les Gets: international sporting competitions, festivals, village celebrations and open-air shows. All season long, the resort comes alive to the rhythm of events that bring together mountain bike enthusiasts, families, curious visitors and lovers of authentic mountain life.

Pass'Portes du Soleil – 26, 27 and 28 June 2026

Summer’s Great Mountain Bike Gathering

For three days, the entire Portes du Soleil area opens up to mountain bike, e-MTB and gravel riders. Thousands of riders explore the 12 French-Swiss resorts along waymarked routes, with refreshment stops and entertainment included, in a friendly atmosphere that officially kicks off the summer season in Les Gets.

An Experience for Every Level

Far from a competitive event, the Pass’Portes feels like a great celebration of mountain biking, open to families and seasoned riders alike. Everyone builds their own route to match their level, with bike and e-bike rental available on site — the perfect opportunity to discover why Les Gets is a world reference for mountain biking.

Harley Days in Morzine – 11 to 14 July 2026

A Gathering for Lovers of Fine Machines

Just a few kilometres from Les Gets, the neighbouring resort of Morzine hosts one of the largest Harley-Davidson gatherings in the Alps every summer. Motorcycle parades, concerts, exhibitions and an exhibitors’ village turn the resort into a capital of the open road for a long weekend.

A Festive Day Trip Close to Home

Even if you’re not a biker, it’s worth the trip: the roar of engines echoing through the valley, the warm atmosphere and the free entertainment make it an ideal outing for a day away from Les Gets, easily reached from wherever you’re staying.

Trail of Les Gets by Rossignol – 18 and 19 July 2026

The Meeting Point for Mountain Runners

For one weekend, the trails of Les Gets become a race course for trail-running enthusiasts. Three distances, from 10.5 to 43 km, let everyone find their own challenge, from beginner runners to seasoned ultra-trailers, along routes that cross some of the resort’s finest viewpoints.

A Sporting Celebration for the Whole Family

Beyond performance, the Trail des Gets keeps a warm, family spirit: the Mont Chéry Challenge for the most experienced, children’s races to introduce the youngest to trail running, a lively finish-line village and a friendly atmosphere make this as much a shared moment as a sporting event.

Musée en Fête (Mechanical Music Museum Festival) - 18 & 19 July 2026

A Cultural Interlude at the Heart of the Village

Every two years, the Mechanical Music Museum celebrates its unique heritage with a festive weekend. Barrel organs, automatons and music boxes come back to life in the village streets, for a joyful immersion in a craft that Les Gets has preserved for decades.

A Lively Event for All Ages

Demonstrations, musical performances and street parades set the pace over these two days, in a lighthearted atmosphere that contrasts nicely with the sporting buzz of the Trail des Gets, held the same weekend. A lovely way to discover the cultural soul of Les Gets, beyond its reputation as a mountain resort.

Festival des 4 Éléments (Four Elements Festival) - 27 to 31 July 2026

A Fun and Educational Week

For five days, Les Gets builds an entire programme around water, fire, earth and air. Workshops, shows and activities invite children and adults alike to explore nature in a new way, in an approach that’s both playful and educational — ideal for family stays.

A Must for Families

Designed to spark children’s curiosity while giving parents genuine moments to share, the Festival des 4 Éléments has become one of the highlights of summer in Les Gets. An event that naturally extends a day in the mountains into an evening full of discovery.

Trial 4x4 des Gets - 1 & 2 August 2026

Adrenaline and Off-Road Action at Les Perrières

On the first weekend of August, the Perrières car park turns into a spectacular playground for off-road enthusiasts. On marked technical sections, experienced drivers tackle impressive obstacles and climbs, without reversing or losing their line, as part of the French-Swiss 4×4 trial challenge.

A Festive, Family-Friendly Weekend

Local food, refreshment stands and music accompany the events in a warm atmosphere, open to families and curious visitors alike. The same weekend, the Les Gets Pottery Fair, “fête l’amour”, brings a different, more artisanal energy to the village — a summer that pairs thrills with local craftsmanship.

Fête du Vieux Village (Old Village Festival) - 3 August 2026

The Village Rediscovers Its Old-World Charm

For one evening, the streets of the old village come alive with long communal tables, street-food stalls and entertainment for the whole family. A warm, popular celebration honouring the authentic spirit of Les Gets, blending conviviality, local flavours and mountain tradition.

A Friendly Evening for Everyone

Locals and holidaymakers gather around long tables in a lively, all-generations atmosphere, to the sound of street performances. It’s the perfect moment to taste Gêtoise hospitality and experience the resort as a genuinely living village, far from the bustle of larger resorts.

UCI Mountain Bike World Cup - 20 to 23 August 2026

The Champions’ Rendezvous

Every summer, Les Gets becomes the world capital of mountain biking by hosting an official round of the UCI World Cup. Over four days, the world’s best riders compete in cross-country short track (XCC), downhill (DHI) and Olympic cross-country (XCO), delivering a spectacular show for extreme sports fans and curious families alike.

A Unique Atmosphere in the Resort

Beyond the competition itself, the resort buzzes with entertainment: an exhibitors’ village, DJ sets, food trucks, demonstrations and meet-and-greets with the athletes create a uniquely festive atmosphere. An exceptional weekend that firmly establishes Les Gets among the world’s top mountain-bike destinations, ahead of the World Championships expected in 2027.

An Enchanted Night Walk Through the Forest

Alta Lumina is a magical experience that immerses visitors in a fantastical world, offering a unique immersive adventure found nowhere else in Europe. Deep in the forest after nightfall, visitors follow a one-kilometre illuminated trail through a series of scenes, where the story of a musical peddler tied to the region’s identity is told poetically through light, sound, imagery in all its forms, staging and interactivity.

This concept, ideal for all ages, forms part of the resort’s diversification strategy, with opening hours running almost all year round.
