Prepare your stay

Before your stay

Because a successful vacation is all about organization and anticipation, here’s some information and advice to help you prepare for your stay in the best possible conditions. You can also find answers to the most frequently asked questions here!

Rental

Be sure to reread the booking conditions for your rental. Depending on your accommodation, the services included may vary.

Route

Don’t forget to check road conditions on apps and GPS devices that keep you informed in real time of traffic conditions, disruptions and any roadworks.

Equipment, gear & dresscode!

The resort of Les Gets lies at an altitude of almost 1,200 meters. This means you’re likely to arrive in a snowy environment, with a risk of icy conditions and temperatures that may be below freezing. If you’re coming by car, you’ll need to equip your vehicle with chains and snow tires.

And don’t forget thermal shock in winter! If you live in Paris, Lyon, Brussels or Zurich, there can be a difference of up to 15 degrees between the time you leave home and your arrival in Les Gets. Clothing suitable for cold and snow is highly recommended.

Arrival

We recommend that you contact our agency as soon as you sign your contract so that our advisors can take care of your needs in terms of ski lessons, ski passes, ski equipment, airport transfers etc… All this to save you precious time when you arrive.

If you arrive before the 5 p.m. key handover, we recommend that you drop by our agency to check in. Our advisors will show you to a parking lot so you can wander around the resort while waiting for check-in.

Ski and resort activities

Ski lessons

For high-season periods and especially during school vacations, we recommend that you book your ski lessons at least 3/4 month before your arrival.

Ski passes

To guarantee you a worry-free stay, we can book your ski passes free of charge. In addition to simplifying your life, you’ll benefit from a 10% discount on sales at the cash desk.

The restaurants

In high season, and especially during school vacations, we suggest you book your lunches and dinners at our restaurants several weeks in advance.
Don’t hesitate to ask us for some good addresses! Whether you’re coming with friends, family or loved ones, we’ll be delighted to advise you on the best restaurants in the resort to suit your tastes.

Resort activities

Snow scooters, dog sledding, ski joering, paragliding and other leisure activities in and around Les Gets are very popular in high season. We therefore advise you to avoid the “last minute” and to anticipate as much as possible by booking your activity.

The same applies to events organized by the town hall, which are a great success every year. Remember to check availability and book your tickets online.
